1. How do I get help?
Support is provided by email by a one-person business; there is no call center or live chat. No response time is guaranteed, but requests are read in the order they arrive and are usually answered within a few business days. You can write in English or Turkish.
Write a support email ↗There is no form on this page that collects messages. The email link opens the email app on your device; you complete the sending yourself.
If you have a request about your personal data — information, correction, deletion — this is a separate request, and the procedure is described on the Contact page.
2. Frequently asked questions
Which devices does it work on?
Mesh Mekan is a single app for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, downloaded from the App Store. Your account is shared across all your devices: what you write on one device you see on the others. The Apple TV version is for watching and reading; actions such as buying a subscription and editing a store are done on the other devices.
How do I create an account?
When you open the app, you sign in with Apple; you do not need to create a separate password. Your Apple password is never given to the app. If you get an error such as a failed Apple sign-in, make sure your device is signed in to your Apple account and connected to the internet, then try again.
I can’t get into a Mekan
If the Mekan is at capacity, its row shows “Full” and how many people are waiting in line; the line moves when a place opens up. If the Mekan row says “shutters down”, the Mekan has closed because it stayed empty and quiet for 14 days; a closed Mekan cannot reopen, but you can open a new one. If it says “rent due”, the Mekan or store is suspended because its subscription was not renewed; it reopens when the subscription is renewed, and closes if it is not renewed within 90 days. If the Mekan is private, you can only enter by invitation: the owner invites you from the Regulars & access screen or sends you an invite link. Without an invitation, the Mekan is not visible to you at all, and there is no way to knock on its door.
My messages disappeared
Mekan chats are not permanent: messages are deleted after 24 hours or when the Mekan passes 200 messages. In one-to-one and group conversations the last 500 messages are kept, and in store chats the last 1,000 messages. This is not a bug but how the service is designed; if there is something you want to keep, make your own copy. Details: retention periods.
I can’t send a file
The limit is 10 MB per file and 20 uploads per hour. PNG, JPEG, GIF and WebP are accepted for images; PDF, ZIP, plain text and Markdown for documents. Files with an image extension whose content does not match are rejected.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Slot subscriptions are sold through the App Store and renew automatically. You cancel in your Apple account’s subscription settings; the app cannot cancel on your behalf. The “Manage subscription” link on the My profile screen in the app takes you straight there. If you cancel mid-period, your entitlement continues until the end of the period you paid for. Refund requests go to Apple.
I don’t receive notifications
Notifications need operating system permission. On a Mac, you can turn permission for Mesh Mekan on or off under System Settings → Notifications; on iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro, under Settings → Notifications. Notifications may be silenced while a Focus mode is on. Each device signed in with the same account receives notifications separately, with its own permission. Turning permission off does not affect your account or your messages.
I was suspended — what happened?
If you see a suspension line with an end date in place of the writing area, your account is suspended for 7 days: three different users reported you within 24 hours. While suspended you can keep reading; the suspension lifts by itself when the period ends. If you believe the decision is wrong, you can appeal through the channel on the Contact page; a person reviews the appeal. Muting is different: a Mekan’s owner can mute you only in that Mekan, for up to 24 hours.
My data and deleting my account
The Privacy Policy and the KVKK Privacy Notice explain which data is processed. You can delete your account inside the app; the steps and the effects of deletion are on the Account Deletion page. Signing out does not delete your account.
3. What helps when reporting a problem?
Being able to reproduce a problem is the fastest way to fix it. It helps us if your message includes:
- Which device (Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro), operating system version and app version,
- Any unusual setting, such as display scaling or an accessibility setting,
- What you were trying to do and at which step you got stuck,
- When the problem happened (date and approximate time, with time zone),
- The exact text of any error message on screen,
- Whether it happens every time or only sometimes.
Never share your password, Apple sign-in codes or any verification code in support correspondence. Mesh Mekan support never asks for them. If you receive such a request, do not reply and let us know.
If you attach a screenshot, cover conversations belonging to others and any unnecessary personal information. How the support correspondence you send is processed is explained in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
4. Safety and community reports
You can block a user who is bothering you from inside the app, and report a user, a Mekan, a store storefront or a product. Reports are reviewed by a person; the reported person does not see you. The rules of conduct and the sanctions applied are in the Terms of Use. In an emergency — abuse directed at children, a threat of violence — write through the channel below in addition to the in-app report.
If you are reporting a technical security vulnerability, share the steps to reproduce it and the affected version; do not include real user data, session tokens or content belonging to others. No legal action is taken over good-faith reports.
