02 / A LITTLE OLD-INTERNET SPIRIT
A green dot.
A familiar name.
That was enough.
Remember the days when being online was a hello in itself? Mesh Mekan brings that feeling to today’s Mac.
A friend just came online.Conversation at human scale.
Standard Mekans hold 50 people. For people who can hear each other and remember each other’s names.
Being here is enough.
No posting to keep up with, no likes to collect. Write your status, join the chat or just hang out quietly.
Socializing is always free.
Join Mekans, make friends, chat. Setting up your own corner is free too: as long as your Mekans stay lively, you can open a new one.
03 / IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING
A few words
on these.
What is Mesh Mekan?
A social space for Mac users that lives at the edge of your screen. Step into a Mekan that matches your interests, talk with your friends and get back to work.
Does it cost anything?
Chatting, making friends, sharing files and opening a Mekan are free. The only condition for opening a new Mekan is that all the Mekans you own are lively. Two things are paid: increasing the capacity of your Mekans (Mesh Plus) and opening a store.
Which devices will it run on?
Mesh Mekan is being built for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro; its real home is the edge of your Mac’s screen, and the others keep you in the Mekan on the go (Apple TV is view-only).
Are chats permanent?
In standard Mekans the chat flows: messages are deleted over time. One-to-one conversations and small private groups are permanent.
When can I use it?
Mesh Mekan is in development. A public download link and a firm release date have not been announced yet.
